How it works in WA state!
The first thing I did was talk to my counselor about doing running start, has a running start student you can either be part-time (meaning you would take 2 classes at the high school and two at the community college) or full-time (you can take up to 15 credits at the college each quarter and have tuition be covered with turns out to normally be 3 colleges because 1 core college class = 5 credits.

I will be attending Skagit Valley Community College in Ock Harbor because it’s a great fit for me and what I was looking for, but do look at the other schools to see what they have to offer.
Skagit Valley Community College in Ock Harbor has a transfer associatedegree program where running start students can follow a transfer program of a topic of choice to earn an associate degree while earning high school credits and a high diploma at graduation.

Applications for the Fall quarter for a class of 2025´s (Jr year) will be open in the Spring time. My counselor mentioned when applying it is very important to apply as a dual enrolment student so you do not pay tuition if you dont not apply under a dual enrollment student you will pay out of pocket. Getting to the school, and fees for books and school supplies will still be out of pocket.
